TSINANDALI ESTATE
Georgia's oldest winery boasts an oenotheque containing vintage wines dating back to the century.
The site has a very special scope. Directly adjacent to the princely complex, the wine company was founded by Garsévan Tchavtchavadzé, Alexander's father. It is the oldest in Georgia. He proceeded with the industrialization of wine, combining Western and traditional Georgian methods in the winemaking process. It produces tsinandali white wines and saperavi reds. The cellars are well worth a visit. The wine library preserves great vintages from the 19th century, the oldest bottle dating back to 1814.
