SIGHNAGHI NATIONAL MUSEUM
Museum offering a visit to discover a collection of objects from archaeological digs and works by Niko Pirosmani.
This museum exhibits a collection of objects unearthed during archaeological digs in the region. The site is especially worth a visit to discover the collection of works by the naive painter Niko Pirosmani (1862-1918), alias Nikala. He was the Georgian "Customs Rousseau". The latter, originally from Kakhetia, was only recognized posthumously. His paintings are well worth seeing. The artist depicted the everyday life of Georgians in his day. A must-see.
