Beautiful French church behind Stalin Avenue, converted into an Orthodox church in the 1990s.
In what remains of the "old town" behind Stalin Avenue, stands the beautiful "French" church, as Catholics in Georgia call it, of the city of Gori (17th century). Built between 1806 and 1810, like most Catholic (or Armenian) churches in Georgia, it was transformed in the 1990s into an Orthodox church. Until the 19th century, the town had large communities of Jews and Armenians.

Très bien mise en valeur, cette ancienne église catholique possède une belle architecture caractéristique de la région et de magnifiques décorations murales. A ne pas manquer
