Abastoumani's sanatoria that have been reopened do not breathe luxury, but a cure can only be healthy. The Arazindo sanatorium, at the top of the station and right opposite the observatory, has 4 mineral springs. It is probably the best of both if we want to receive care. The other is called Dtsisartkhéla, a little lower. built in 1932, it was the house of Lavrenti Béria in Abastoumani.

There is an exceptional place or you can stay, it is ZAKVO (Russian 3AKBO), a Swede bought part of the mess of officers of the imperial time and completely renovated. I had the impression to find me in a novel Tolstoi, super simple, very romantic (many expatriates tbilisi here make romantic escapades) that resembles a provencal house (imported tiles France with 19th!) with touches gustaviennes and there are souvenirs, photographs, documents etc. the Russian imperial time. My wife loved the four-poster bed.
