These are the great natural lakes of Georgia, worth a trip. Lake Paravani, at an altitude of 2,073 meters, shallow, is the largest of them. Nearby, the smaller Lake Saghamo is equally majestic, with the village of Saghamo on its shores. The road between Ninotsminda and Tsalka, running alongside the latter, is in good condition. There are still the Madatapa Lakes, on the Armenian border, Khantchali, next to Ninotsminda. In the other direction from Akhalkalaki (towards Bakuriani), the lake of Tabatskhouri is also very beautiful.
