TRADITIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
This neoclassical building on Rustaveli Avenue was the elite high school for the entire Kutaisian aristocracy in imperial times.
This enormous neoclassical building on Roustavéli Avenue dates from 1850, and has recently been rehabilitated; it was the elite high school for the entire Kutai aristocracy in the imperial era. It saw the study of some of the greatest Georgian intellectuals of the time: Paolo Yashvili (poet and one of the leaders of the Georgian symbolist movement), Tvestan Tabidze, Akaki Tsereteli (poet and one of the figures of the liberation of Georgia), Niko Nikoladze (writer and contributor of liberal journalism in Georgia with published political and economic ideas)
