OKROS TCHARDAKHI (GOLDEN PAVILION)
This small pavilion is part of the former residence of the kings of Imeretia, on the left bank of the Rioni.
It is part of the former residence of the kings of Imérétie, on the left bank of the Rioni. It is a 17th century structure, partly rebuilt in the 19th century, in the 1960s, and then rebuilt in 2009-2010. This small pavilion is the only building in the complex to have survived. There is nothing to see inside (you can't get in), just look at it from the outside and try to project yourself as best you can into what was a royal building at the time.
