It was inaugurated as an international airport in 2007. It's an option to consider, as it can be convenient for flights via Istanbul. It is served by : Turkish Airlines (Istanbul), Azerbaijan Airlines (Baku), Air Baltic (Riga). To reach the city center (approx. 6 km), take bus number 10, which is located in front of the terminal. The journey takes 20 minutes and the ticket costs 0.30 GEL. Cabs are also available, but the bus is very reliable.
