The place is a curiosity, with mosaics and open sky; it was designed by the architect George Chakhava and the sculptor Zurab Kapanadze in 1975. 8 octopus arms are represented and one finds an emblem of Batoumi: the dolphin. The café was a Batoumi institution before closing for many years. It was renovated in 2019 by artist Ilya Pesvianidze. An ice cream parlour now occupies the premises. A perfect place to enjoy an ice cream after a long stroll along the seafront and discover this atypical place at the same time.
