ORTA DJAME BATUMI MOSQUE
A small, pretty mosque inviting you to visit its minaret with the permission of the faithful who will guide you.
This is where the Adjare Muslim community is located. Small but beautiful, the Orta Djame Mosque in Batumi was built in 1886 by the Adjar architect Aslak Beg Khimshashvili. Its minaret was repainted in 2007; it can be visited by asking permission from the faithful who will guide you. It is necessary to have covered shoulders and a garment that goes down to below the knees at least. The interior is painted and colourful; it is worth a look.
