This luxury piazza in the middle of the old town boasts architecture that's both folkloric and futuristic.
This ex nihilo creation of President Mikheïl Saakachvili, which emerged from the ground in 2010 right in the middle of the old town, is something of a surprise. A real luxury piazza, with an arcaded square, a building with a huge tower reminiscent of Big Ben, Manhattan and the Seven Sisters of Moscow, a carillon that rings out the Georgian anthem, all in an architecture that's both folkloric and futuristic - it's quite an unlikely place! A landmark of the Saakashvili style in the old town, it's not to be missed. It's a pleasant place to settle down for a coffee on the terrace.
