This pretty square is located in the heart of old Batumi, so the architecture of some of the buildings dates back to the 19th and 19th centuries. In 2007, the statue of Medea was installed in the center as a symbol of the links between Georgia and Europe. Medea is known in mythology for helping Jason and the Argonauts to steal the Golden Fleece. The astronomical clock in this square is not to be missed. It was manufactured in Germany and installed in 2010.
