DADIANI PALACE
A curious building housing a Museum of History and Ethnography with over 41,000 objects belonging to the Dadian family.
The Dadiani Palace is a curious building that follows the main lines of late medieval architecture in Europe. It looks like a very small French or English castle, including elements of native architecture. In the palace is the very interesting Museum of History and Ethnography. It exhibits more than 41,000 objects that belonged to the Dadiani family. Period furniture, weapons, portraits of Napoleon (including one of his three death masks), books: such a collection of accessories of the 19th century aristocracy is rare in Georgia.
