Founded in 1948, the Sarajevo Canton Transport Company (JKP GRAS) operates buses, minibuses, trolleybuses and streetcars. The latter are the most useful for crossing the agglomeration on the main east-west axis. The old trolleybuses connect Austrije Square (Bistrik, Old Town) with the districts of Skenderija, Otoka and Dobrinja in the west and Koševo in the north. Buses run mostly north-south. Minibuses reach the suburbs on the mountainside. There are no direct connections to Istočno Sarajevo.

Prendre le tramway à Sarajevo est un pur retour dans le passé. Il nous fait revenir dans la nostalgie des années de Tito que beaucoup de bosniaque regrette d'ailleurs.
