This festival (Dani Kantona Sarajevo) has been organized throughout the canton since 2007 between May 2, the beginning of the siege of Sarajevo in 1992, and May 9, which marks the end of the Second World War. Commemorative ceremonies are accompanied by concerts of sevdah, classical music or rock, exhibitions, traditional dances, film screenings, sports competitions, etc. In parallel, the Children's Arts Festival (Festival Dječije Umjetnosti) is also held.
