Catholic monastery housing a large red neo-Gothic church with a 43 m high bell tower.
Founded in 1911, this Catholic monastery (Franjevački Samostan) is distinguished by its large red church dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua and whose bell tower reaches 43 m in height. It was designed by the Croatian architect Josip Vancaš, who also designed the Sacred Heart Cathedral. Traditionally, people of all faiths came here to make offerings. But this custom tends to be lost since the last war.
