Museum dedicated to the siege of the city in 1992-1996, housed in a socialist-style building bearing the scars of war.
Housed in an austere Brutalist building, this national museum (Historijski Muzej Bosne i Hercegovine) was dedicated to the Second World War when it was founded in 1945. It took its current name in 1993 but is mainly interested in the 1992-1995 war. Due to lack of budget, some spaces remain empty. Exhibition on the daily life of the Sarajevans during the siege. Outside, military equipment from 1939-1945, including the skeleton of a German glider used to try to capture Tito in Tropolje.
