MAISON D'ART DE LA SEVDAH
Public museum dedicated to sevdalinka, featuring portraits of singers, concert posters and more.
This public museum (Art Kuća Sevdaha) is dedicated to sevdalinka, often abbreviated to "sevdah," the melancholic-sounding traditional music of Bosnia and Herzegovina. There are portraits of great singers of the twentieth century (Zaim Imamović, Himzo Polovina ...), concert posters, musical instruments (accordion, violin, Turkish lute ...), etc. Established in 2008 in the former Ottoman warehouse of Velike Daire (1776), the museum also has a cafe playing sevdalinka.
