This hill (Hum Brdo) reaches 816 m in altitude. It is landscaped with a park and enjoys beautiful views of the city and the Trebević and Jahorina Mountains to the south. It is dominated by the Hum Tower, a 78.5 m high television transmitter that is one of the symbols of Sarajevo. This concrete column dates from 1982 but remains damaged since the last war. The transition of local television to digital has made it almost useless. Various rehabilitation projects, such as converting the four floors of offices into a luxury hotel, have failed.
