VRELO BOSNE
Park with small bridges and green spaces, 1920s sheds, children's playground and restaurant.
Before stretching 271 km northward to flow into the Sava, the river that gives its name to Bosnia is born here, at the foot of Mount Igman. The "source of the Bosna" (Vrelo Bosne) was developed in the 1890s. Today it is a 603-hectare park, classified as a natural monument, which is very popular with Sarajevans, with countless small bridges and green areas, huts from the 1920s, a children's playground and the traditional restaurant Labud ("the swan"). But the deeper you go into the park, the more wild and marshy the nature becomes.
