TABAČKA MOSQUE
Elegant little mosque featuring a courtyard with a cemetery housing twenty nişans and a domed chadirvan.
Built in 1872, this elegant little mosque (Tabačka Džamija) belonged to the local guild of tabaci, the leather tanners and craftsmen. It replaces a mosque from the early 17th century that was destroyed several times by fires and floods of the Fojnička. The present building (9 x 9 m) is distinguished by its facade, roof and 15 m high minaret which are covered with wood. The façade is also open with a gallery supported by fifteen pillars. In the courtyard, the cemetery houses twenty nişans and a chadirvan with a dome.
