LAKE BORAČKO
A small, oval-shaped natural lake, a popular summer bathing spot, with water temperatures reaching 25°C.
Fed by water from the glacier of Mount Bjelašnica (to the northeast), this small natural lake of 26 ha (Boračko Jezero) is frozen on the surface for part of the winter. But it is a popular swimming spot in summer, with waters reaching 25 °C in August. It is oval in shape and about 790 m long and 400 m wide with a maximum depth of 17 m. Located at an altitude of 397 m in a beautiful cirque, it is dominated by two wooded peaks: Crna Gora ("black mountain", 1,343 m), to the west, and Tranjina (1,055 m), to the east.
