Hotel undergoing reconstruction above the Neretva, Mostar's most prestigious hotel.
Still under construction at the time of writing this guide, this wonderfully placed establishment above the Nerteva River was the most prestigious hotel in Mostar. Built in the neo-Moorish style in 1892, it has hosted the highest dignitaries of the country, starting with Tito. Left in a state of ruin after the last war, the hotel has been the subject of a reconstruction project since 2005. But it was not until 2018 that work began. By 2022, the walls and roof were completed, but the construction looked like it would take another year or two.
