HAMMAM ĆEJVAN-ĆEHAJA
The best-preserved Ottoman Hammam in the country, with a single level used for events and temporary exhibitions.
This single-story, windowless building (Ćejvan-Ćehajin Hamam) is the best-preserved Ottoman hamam in the country. It was built from 1558 thanks to a donation from Ćejvan-Ćehaja, to whom we also owe the mosque of the same name, on the left bank. The baths were then fed by an underground branch of the Radobolja River, a tributary of the Neretva. Damaged during the last war, the hammam was restored with the help of France in 2004. Used for temporary events and exhibitions, it also hosted a museum from 2015 to 2021.
