KAJTAZ HOUSE
An old Bosnian house with a collection of rare Arabic books, period furniture and beautiful antique carpets.
This Bosnian house (Kajtazova Kuća) is one of the oldest in the country. Dating from the 16th century, it was not damaged by the wars and was inhabited by the Kajtaz family until 2006. The current owner, Anes Kajtaz, who was born here, shows the house (or his neighbor Indira when he is not here): a set of small rooms, a beautiful courtyard sheltered by high walls protecting from the sun, pieces of Lebanese cedar framework, a collection of rare books in Arabic, period furniture and beautiful old carpets.
