MAISON BIŠČEVIĆ
Magnificent Ottoman house with a veranda supported by two 12 m-high pillars, featuring a small museum upstairs.
This magnificent 17th-century Ottoman house (Biščevića Kuća) overlooks the Neretva with a corbelled veranda supported by two 12-meter-high pillars. Capped with a beautiful slate roof, it houses a small museum on the first floor. In the latter is reconstituted a Bosnian interior of the nineteenth century with the most beautiful of the three rooms opening on the famous veranda. The whole is quick to visit, because several parts damaged in 1992-1994 are still closed. But we appreciate a coffee break in the courtyard with the turtle of the house.
