ST. BASIL OSTROG CHURCH IN BLAGAJ
Small Serbian Orthodox church renovated in 2016, part of the Unesco-listed area since 2017.
This small Serbian Orthodox church (Crkva Svetog Vasilija Ostroškog/Црква Светог Василија Острошког) was founded in 1892 and completed in 1934. Remained for more than twenty years in a state of ruin, following the bombings of 1993, it was finally renovated in 2016. Because if Blagaj has less than five Serbian Orthodox inhabitants (about thirty before the last war), this monument is part, as the whole heart of the village, of the area classified by Unesco since 2017.
