KRIŽEVAC

This is the hill that dominates the plateau from the top of its 520 m. At the top, a massive concrete cross of 8.50 m was erected on March 15, 1934, on the occasion of the one thousand nine hundredth anniversary of the passion of Jesus Christ (as indicated by the Croatian inscription engraved on the monument). This is the place where the Way of the Cross is performed and where several religious ceremonies are held. Even if you are just passing through Međugorje and are not interested in the religious program, the view from this hill is simply stunning.
