OSMAN-PACHA MOSQUE
Mosque retaining the general shape of the original building, with its three-arched porch, prayer hall and 16 m-high minaret.
Dating from 2005, this yellow-walled mosque (Osman-Pašina Džamija/Џамија Осман-Паше) is a replica of the mosque of the same name blown up by Bosnian-Serb nationalists in 1992. This one was erected in 1726 thanks to a donation from Osman Pasha Resulbegović, the founder of the old town of Trebinje. The general form of the original building is well restored: three-arched porch, prayer hall covered with a lauze roof and minaret 16 m high. But the destruction resulted in the loss of a valuable wooden ceiling decorated with Ottoman baroque motifs.
