A strange Serbian Orthodox church on a hill, rising 21 m high and surrounded by two bell towers resting on spindly columns.
This strange Serbian Orthodox church (Crkva Svetih Arhanđela/Црква Светих Арханђела) was erected in 2008 on a hilltop on the site of a former Austro-Hungarian defensive tower in the historic Bosnian district of Hrupjela. Rising to a height of 21 m and surrounded by two bell towers resting on spindly columns, it was designed by Serbian architect Predrag Ristić (1931-2019), to whom we also owe the unsuccessful church on Crkvina Hill. No frescoes inside.
