MUSEUM OF HERZEGOVINA
Museum in a four-storey former Austro-Hungarian barracks with interesting exhibits and an exhibition on the Serbian revolts.
Founded in 1952, this museum (Muzej Hercegovine/Музеј Херцеговине) is dusty and obscures certain aspects of local history (the Ottomans, the Bosnians...). Housed in a former Austro-Hungarian barracks of four floors, there are however some interesting pieces, including Illyrian helmets (first floor) and an exhibition on the Serbian revolts of the early twentieth century (under the roof). Most of the exhibits are copies, but some panels in English are rich in information, especially on prehistory and antiquity.
