MUSÉE DE LA VIEILLE HERZÉGOVINE
Municipal museum in a former Austro-Hungarian building housing a collection of weapons and documents relating to the Battle of Sutjeska.
Housed in a former Austro-Hungarian building from 1906, this municipal museum (Muzej Stare Hercegovine/Музеј Старе Херцеговине) focuses on the history of Foča since prehistoric times. While it is rather interesting, it glosses over the atrocities suffered by Bosnians in 1943 and 1992. It was founded in 1956 as the "Museum of the War of National Liberation" (1941-1945) and still houses a collection of weapons and documents from the Battle of Sutjeska (May-June 1943).
