VILLAGE FOLKLORIQUE D'ANDRIĆGRAD
Large tourist complex paying tribute to novelist Ivo Andrić, designed as an "ideal Serbian town" with hotels, cinema..
Called "Andrić's city" (Andrićgrad/Андрићград), this large tourist complex was created in 2014 at the initiative of the French-Serbian filmmaker Emir Kusturica. Conceived as an "ideal Serbian city" and in homage to the novelist Ivo Andrić, it is much decried: Andrićgrad was built with the stones torn from the Austro-Hungarian fortress of Petrinja (near Trebinje) and appears to be the symbol of the Serbization of Višegrad. There are hotels, a church, a cinema and shops.
