KAZAMAT
If you only have to dine one night in Banja Luka, this is the address. Under the vaults of the Kastel fortress or on the terrace, on the banks of the Vrbas, this "casemate" offers very good traditional local cuisine, especially jela ispod sača ("cooked under the bell") meats. Opened in 1987 and now run by the same owner as the very famous Mala Stanica, this restaurant has more affordable prices, but it is inaccessible on weekends in summer without a reservation. We also recommend the place in the morning, for its copious "peasant" breakfast.
