CHURCH OF CHRIST EMPEROR
Small church belonging to the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic community, attached to Rome and following the Orthodox rite.
Stunning with its blue walls, bulbous domes and lack of interior decoration, this small church (Crkva Hrista Carja/Црква Христа Царја) belongs to the Ukrainian Greek Catholic community (about 4,000 faithful in the country, mostly Ruthenians). This is attached to Rome but follows Orthodox rites (marriage of priests ...) and has Old Slavic as a liturgical language. The building was built in 2010 on the site of a church of 1932 which was destroyed in 1944.
