Museum that reminds us that the Norman sky was the scene of the biggest air battle in Western Europe from June to August 1944.

In the Koenig district, an imposing hangar houses a museum dedicated to the aeronautics of June 6, 1944. The hangar was built in the 1930s to increase storage capacity for training aircraft destined for France's future flying aces. The museum exhibits a Spitfire and a host of emblematic aircraft. You can also climb into the cockpit of a Focke Wulf 190 or an authentic B-17 bomber belly turret. The museum offers an immersive insight into the aerial aspect of the decisive days of D-Day.
