This small international airport (Međunarodni Aerodrom Tuzla) is the second in the country after Sarajevo with about 500,000 passengers/year excluding Covid. A former Yugoslav military base opened to civilian traffic since 2012, it is a hub of the Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air: numerous connections including with Germany and Sweden, but also with the French-Swiss airport of Basel-Mulhouse. On the spot: car rental, cafés-restaurants and duty free store, but poor reception conditions (long waiting time on arrival and departure).
