ČARŠIJSKA ČESMA
Rustic decor and good purely local cuisine: since 2005, the "Sharia Fountain" offers a very Bosnian atmosphere on this pretty square whose colorful facades are an Austro-Hungarian legacy, but which was the center of the Sharia, a typical commercial and Islamic district of the Ottoman era. Installed between the Čaršijska mosque and its chadirvan (ablution fountain), the restaurant therefore does not serve alcohol but, for example, an excellent Bosnian coffee as well as boza, a fermented cereal-based drink (very slightly alcoholic, that said).
