LAC MODRAC
An artificial lake stretching 11 km from east to west, 1.6 km wide and 20 m deep, now once again a fishing and leisure spot.
This artificial lake of 17 km² (Jezero Modrac) was born in 1964 with the construction of a hydroelectric dam on the Spreča. Stretching 11 km from east to west and 1.6 km wide, it reaches up to 20 m deep. In the west, it is crossed by an 11 km long cable car transporting limestone from Vijenac (in the south) to the cement factory in Lukavac (suburb of Tuzla). Forbidden to access due to pollution in 2005, the lake is once again a place of fishing (carp, pike...) and leisure. In the south, Priluk preserves a rare wooden mosque of the 18th century.
