MOSQUE OF THE SAVE
Mosque at the confluence of the Brka with an old bazaar right next door, featuring a variety of sometimes unlikely stalls.
Built in 2006, this mosque (Savska Džamija) is located at the confluence of the Brka and Save rivers. It is a replica of the oldest mosque in the city, built around 1650 and destroyed by Serbian nationalists in 1992. Just next door is the old bazaar, called "green market" (Zelena Pijaca, daily 6am-1:30pm), consisting of various stalls and sometimes improbable. South of the mosque, along the Brka, there are still the old Bosnian-Ottoman houses of the Rošulje ("curved") district, some of which house pleasant bars and cafés.
