THE PLACE OF YOUTH
Central square lined with café terraces, dominated by two neo-Moorish buildings, including the Town Hall and the Grand Hotel Posavina.
Lined with café terraces, the central square (Trg Mladih) is dominated by two neo-Moorish buildings: the Town Hall (1892) and the Grand Hotel Posavina (1891), now closed. There are monuments to Bosnian and Bosnian-Croat victims of the last war as well as the Fountain of Youth (1963), a work by Sead Ekmečić (1933-2012) depicting two children holding a fish. The square continues on Bosna-Srebrena Street, with its neoclassical facades, which leads to the Catholic Church of the Sacred Heart (1861), and then to Justice Park and the Great Park.
