Foundation in an Austro-Hungarian building featuring paintings, sculptures and various works by relatives of the Ekmečić family.
Housed in an Austro-Hungarian building, this foundation (Foundacija Legat Ekmečić) was established in 2017 by the Ekmečić family, which includes Brčko's most renowned artists and writers. On display are paintings by Mevludin Ekmečić (1929-2021), sculptures by Sead Ekmečić (1933-2012), author of the Fountain of Youth in the square of the same name, the books of Fadil Ekmečić (b. 1936), a writer and publisher who has lived in France since 1968, as well as works by relatives of the family, including sculptures by the Franco-Bosnian Mirza Morić (b. 1954).
