PONT DE STARI MAJDAN
A small stone bridge with a single arch 8.40 m long and 4.25 m wide, in fact a medieval or Ottoman structure.
This small stone bridge in the village of Stari Majdan (1,100 inhabitants, 90% Bosnian) is locally called "Roman bridge" (Rimski Most). It is in fact a medieval or Ottoman work. With a single arch that spans the Gračanica, it is 8.40 m long and 4.25 m wide. It is located next to a Serbian Orthodox church, burned down in 1995 and rebuilt by Bosnian residents in 2015. The bridge itself was damaged by heavy vehicles of the Canadian Stabilization Force contingent deployed here between 1995 and 2004.
