Since 2017, United Express has been offering, among other services, a bus service linking Douala and Yaoundé at fares designed to challenge Touristique, the number one company in the country. The air-conditioned VIP buses offer a full service, with a hostess on board the vehicle, snacks on offer and sanitary facilities available to passengers (no stops during the 5-hour journey). A round-trip VIP ticket costs 15,000 FCFA. The company guarantees that schedules are more or less respected, unlike "eco" buses, which only leave the agency once the bus is full.
