The Mbappé Leppé stadium, named after a former glory of the Indomitable Lions and which it shares with the famous French champion, was completely renovated in 2018. The mythical stadium proudly displays its tricolor sign opposite the cathedral and still represents the glory days of Cameroon soccer. Located in the heart of Akwa, it hosts numerous sporting events, and although it is unpretentious and much smaller than the Japoma stadium, built for the CAN 2022, Douala still holds great sentimental value for it.
