NATIONAL MARITIME MUSEUM
From a maritime and river perspective, the exhibition traces the history of coastal peoples, the slave trade, German and British colonization and the post-colonial era. The only drawback is that, although it displays many objects from the maritime world of yesteryear (sextans, foghorns, etc.). The museum occupies just 400m2 of this magnificent land liner. The roof offers a beautiful view of the Wouri River, the port of Douala and former colonial buildings now converted into a court, prefecture or orphanage. A small souvenir store is located at the entrance.
