This villa, located over 1 km above sea level, offers accommodation in 6 clean, comfortable rooms and boukarous,

In colonial times, Villa Luciole was the residence of the French High Commissioner. Situated at an altitude of over 1,000 metres and 150 km from Douala, it's an excellent base from which to explore the region. Accommodation (six clean, comfortable rooms and boukarous) is complemented by a warm welcome and cuisine featuring tasty farm produce. From here, you can hike or ride around craters and waterfalls, follow trails to nearby Bororo villages or visit coffee plantations.

In an idyllic setting with original accommodation, it is true that Villa Luciole offers a pleasant starting point to visit the Manengouba Mountains. However in dead season, beware of well checking the good performance facilities in the boukarous (hot water, light, state of the bedding...) and to negotiate stay according to the valid facilities. Arrive after a reservation, the boukarou which is offered to us first had the luminaries shower and toilet H.S. Meet to our request to change bulbs: " there is no... ". For a 30,000 F, it is limiting including meet. Boukarou change, this time of light but no hot water. It is promise to several times without success and you can see forced one-way being showered in the shower room adjoining the hotel lounge (20 metres). And the final, if you did not have to insist for a commercial activity, we would not have paid same price. The cuisine is very good and very European (eat with African prefer the cheap restaurant near Melong road where soya (stew) is excellent) and the large appetites will be served.
At breakfast you will have an opportunity to fall on Barnabé, the monkey of the house, which will not fail to greet you. Beware of bread, it is fast.
After: on the hotel service, setting, accommodation and food are really. But beware of accommodation, in case of dysfunction, staff is neither easygoing or shopping.
Finally, the visit, beware the prices, the white quickly becomes cash cow's milk. But especially: Avoid the guide named Jules. We left to horse with him and the owner horses the lakes craters. It almost all hiking just in front, and it is the owner of the horses who gave us the most signs. Jules knows just what is come from its daily for the rest, it invents you stories. Concerning the right-of-way to pay on the lakes, it warned us mi course (fortunately that we had money on us). Finally, on the way back, while he had taken my horse for a difficult passage, it left so far in front of we lost, we have a river just one horse for two, and when we found it 15 minutes later the owner of the horses challenged it because it left in bad management. Only moment when he tried to exchange with us it is when it asked to my stayed partner behind if it were married! 10,000 F for... you would have done without the service and you would have to the sum to the owner of the horses. To avoid still Jules to visit the falls. It bills 5000 F for with the first one question dust to falls, it calls the first villager come to meet our questions. In short, the villa firefly should pay attention to its guides. , Once again, the site is majestic, the magnificent Manengouba mountains, and the falls of extraordinary Ekom Nkam!
Very warm welcome and very good cuisine. From the villa, guides will lead you to the twin lakes about 6:00 return to the sacred lakes male and female with falls Ekom Nkam, 10 miles from the track Nkongsamba-Bafang main roads. The chef's cuisine cleverly combines European tradition and the cameroonian tradition.
