The Manengouba lakes (more commonly known as the twin lakes, one male, the other female) are a true wonder located at the crossroads of the South-West and Littoral regions, and are not the easiest of sites to access. This is undoubtedly what gives it all its magic, as it is seldom visited by tourists, and you find yourself alone in the world. But the magic of this landscape has to be earned (3h walk from Villa Luciole). There's nothing like a swim in the female lake after your hike. A striking site, well worth the detour.
