MILE SIX BEACH

At one time, this was Limbé's favorite beach. Beautiful and large, it is no longer maintained today and has seen its attendance drop despite free access. Tourists from Douala now prefer the hotel beaches further along the coast, which are better maintained and, above all, less dangerous than Mile Six Beach. Strong currents are rife here, claiming victims every year. Although swimming is avoided, especially with children, some holidaymakers still enjoy a stroll.
