Created in 1892 by a German horticulturist to acclimatize plants such as quinine, coffee, rubber, cocoa and banana, the Limbé botanical garden has also served as a training center for Cameroonians in the fields of agriculture, horticulture and forestry. After Mount Cameroon, it is the biggest tourist attraction in the South-West. It is also an international center for biodiversity research. The coastal path provides a beautiful view of the western part of the garden.
